Do You Love Me
July 20, 2026 · Barbara Ruffing
Not by words alone we answer, Not by songs we sing— Love is proven in the serving, In the care we bring. Then go and feed His sheep…
Do You Love Me
“Peter,” He said, “Do you love Me,
More than these?” said the I AM.
“Yea Lord, Thou knowest I love Thee.”
And Jesus said, “Feed My lambs.”
Again He asked Peter, “Do you love Me?”
“Yea Lord, Thou knowest I do.”
Then Jesus said, “Feed My sheep,
And guide them strong and true.”
He asked him once more, “Do you love Me?”
And Peter’s emotions ran deep.
“Yea Lord, Thou knowest I love Thee!”
And again He said, “Feed My sheep.”
Do you love Him? Hear Him calling.
His question still runs deep.
If you say, “Yes Lord, I love You,”
Then rise and feed His sheep.
Feed the hungry, tend the broken,
Guide the wandering feet.
If you truly love the Shepherd,
Then go and feed His sheep.
Not by words alone we answer,
Not by songs we sing—
Love is proven in the serving,
In the care we bring.
Then go and feed His sheep…
